The Nightmare Ends on Halloween is a fan film by Chris .R. Notarile. Unlike most fan films, Chris's videos use real special effects, and at least one of them features a professional voice actor.

Picking up after the events of Freddy vs. Jason (and acting as though Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash never took place), Freddy Krueger is stuck in limbo, between his dream world and Hell, powerless because, once again, Springwood has forgotten about him sometime after his death at the hands of Lori Campbell.

Freddy finds Michael Myers (the antagonist of the series, and a silent slasher like Jason), whose mind is in limbo during every 365-day period between Halloweens. Freddy asks him to go to Elm Street and kill a few people to spread fear around. Michael refuses to obey Freddy, so Freddy slashes his jack o lantern with his clawed glove. This makes Michael angry, and he attacks Freddy. But now that his mind is active again, he is dreaming, and so Freddy is in the dream world once again.

However, Michael fights Freddy. Freddy is unable to kill Michael, as he is able to withstand being stabbed. Michael eventually grabs Freddy and throws him to the ground. Freddy spots the Lament Configuration on the ground, and realizes that they are no longer in the dream world, but in a labyrinth area of Hell. Jason Voorhees and Leatherface (from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series) enter, armed with their usual weapons, and the three silent slashers corner Freddy as Pinhead (from the Hellraiser series) enters. Michael, Jason, and Leatherface are there at Pinhead's request to help him recapture Freddy, as he escaped Hell once and must now pay the price. Jason, Michael, and Leatherface advance on Freddy to tear his soul apart.
