Not to be confused with A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection, A Nightmare on Elm Street 8 Film Collection, and Nightmare on Elm Street Collection.
The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection is the first DVD collection set of the first six films of the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. It doesn't include Freddy vs. Jason and does include Wes Craven's New Nightmare, which technically isn't a part of the ANOES film series, but is closely associated with it. It contains eight DVDs, a booklet with detailed information on the films, and two pairs of 3D glasses for viewing the last nightmare scene in Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. The box set was a major success, receiving rave reviews from fans and today remains a big hit in home video releases.
